I make it a point to feed my spirit with biblical encouragement. I think it’s important for every Christian to empower themselves with God’s word. I not only read Scripture, but I try to understand and meditate on the promises that God has for my life.
Reading through all the prayer requests, and thinking of my own burdens, it’s important that we build ourselves up with God’s word. Deuteronomy 31:6 reminds us that through all the trials of lost jobs, broken relationships, broken spirits and so many troubles we face, that God is with us through it all. God’s message is “be strong and courageous” which is exactly how we need to face each problem day to day.
We are continuing to pray for each and every one of you who have sent in your prayer request. We will continue to pray and hope that one by one, God will hear our continued cries and bring blessings to each of you.
I also encourage you to let us know about any answered prayers. It’s just as important to praise Him for those answered prayers as much as our requests. In the meantime, remember to pray continually and give thanks for all those blessing that God has already blessed you.
Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6
It is my hope that all of you had a blessed Christmas and New Year and that 2011 will bring much happiness and a closer relationship to our Heavenly Father.
