Too Righteous
Is there such a thing as being too righteous? Sometime I think there is. I know some people that have such a passion and love for the Lord that it’s contagious. They are the perfect examples of joy. God’s light permeates their being. There’s an attractive longing to get what they got.
It’s important to be an example to others. Christ's light needs to shine through us. Some of us get full of pride and tend to float above the rest. What we think what is righteousness is actually pride. I call these type of people prideousness. We lose sight of our true mission of bringing others to Christ. Instead we are too concerned about pumping ourselves. We become conceited, prideful and boastful and we turn people away.
Prideousness Christians need to come down out of the rafters and stand with their feet planted firmly on God's love and love for others. Our mission is not to see how Holy we can be, but to show others (non believers) just how beautiful it is too have relationship with Christ and bring them to know Jesus.
